Hi guys.
it’s so hot these days. But there’s an antidote and it’s halo-halo–a dessert that consists of crushed ice and a variety of sweet stuff like ice cream, beans, fruits. now there are a million ways to mix these things. basically you can choose what sort of ingredients you want. and the best halo-halo ever is the one by RAZON’S.
here are the selling points:
1. finely crushed ice!!!!!!
2. sweet boiled banana
3. leche flan
you wonder why it’s the best halo-halo when the other kinds have a plethora of yummies in it. well, this time, simple is best!
occam’s razor says… [okay....this is stretching this principle a little too far, nevertheless, grant me that the heat is making me a little bit crazy today] “all other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.”
Go eat some halo-halo.

Masarap ang halo-halo ng Razon’s pero bitin… i agree, super panalo yung ice. I don’t know if you still remember Digman’s Halo-halo, they have like 16 ingredients and really sweet ube on top, yummy! Here in Baguio we don’t have many resto that offers halo-halo, so Chowking is still the best choice. But you should try the strawberry flavored taho…masarap.. trip lang…promise!
I remember the Sandosena—so that makes 12 ingredients.
The thing about having many ingredients is that all of them must be tops in taste. So it’s a big let down if say the banana doesn’t taste good or if the mango is sour. Okay this is making me crave for a halo-halo now.

The thing about halo-halo for me… is that i DON’T want to “halo it.” (Chowking one)… Beauty is destroyed.
